On this trip we ride in the Aso-Kuju National Park which is centered around active volcanoes of Mount Aso and the Kuju Mountains. We pedal through dramatic volcanic landscapes and observe active volcanoes as well as magnificent and gentle grasslands surrounding them. With the volcanoes naturally come hot springs, which feed some of the country’s best onsens. We stay at elegant ryokans and hotels which come with excellent onsen baths. Kyushu also boasts many kinds of local dishes as it has various forms of traditional culture as well as an abundance of agricultural and marine products. Enjoy delicious local foods!2
